What a weeekend… I think I did not party that enduring since a few years. And as you know I party quite a lot.
Kick off was Friday when I headed Berlin for visiting the new Tresor club. I have to say: The club is really, really cool. Huge industrial building (an old power plant I think), long corridors, big halls- perfect for tripping around. In the mainfloor… Read the rest of this entry »
Next Sunday (Pfingstsonntag) there will be a very, very special event in Münster. Since quite a while I am meeting frequently with my best friends from this town for Stammtisch (regulars´ table). At this meeting we cook together, eat, drink, get drunken and talk a lot about everything going on. We decided to organize an official party and invited two other friendly freaks from the local scene to play some music. So you can expect a sparkling electronic carnival… Read the rest of this entry »
I was just surfing around on some music sites and suddenly there were this tunes in my ear… And hey: I liked it very much. Actually I have to say that I did not here from this guy called Marques, but his set seems to be worth blogging. Abstract, modern… cool!

Next weekend I will visit Magdeburg again where I will play a solo set as well as finally another Faderskater gigt. I think this one will be a nice party- On the one hand I really like the people from Magdeburg for their warm and friendly appearance. On the other hand I am looking forward to play a classical Progressive Trance set after quite a long time together with Weasel as Faderskater. And hey: Outdoor season is opened and this will be the first official open air floor I will play at this year. So keep your fingers crossed for really good weather coming back to Germany…
Yesterday I finished a new DJ mix. Pretty deep, dubby tunes with kind of minimal touch… Enjoy!

Nice gimmick for boring hours in front of your computer… A flash emuation of the legendary Roland TR 909. Now you can create some nice grooves instead of playing Tetris or Mah Jong in the office. But carefully: There is no “Boss Button” included yet ;) Go creative!
Everyone who used to go to Goa parties in the middle / end of the nineties will smile when watching this clip. It contains the original sample from the legendary track Halluzinogen – LSD. Lovely memories… Although this boy is only nine years old, I would sign every word he says ;)
Looks like this story does not end… perhaps I should create a new category “DJ Fex” !? Cant help myself but his sets kick my ass every time again. Annotation for my log: Have to get this dude live this year! Cheers!

Last Saturday Tribal Vision Records gathered in Berlin to rock the capital with a explosive mixture of progressive house, trance, electro and tech house. The label was represented by Slater himself, Sonic Cube from Zürich / Switzerland, Kämpfer & Dietze as local support from Berlin and me.
I already arrived in Berlin on Saturday morning after playing at a small birthday party on Friday night. Read the rest of this entry »
Yesterday I visited a really remarkable daylight party. For me it was kind of after party for the really nice Tribal Vision label night in RAW Temple, Berlin where I played a set in the early morning hours (review will follow soon). The party I am talking about took place in Berlin Karlshorst which can be reached via public transport within a few minutes. Although being located pretty close to the city center, you find yourself in the middle of nowhere with really beautiful nature after you have left the train. In a little forest with small hills there is a huge sandpit. We arrived in the early midday and there were not really many people there then. But this should change very soon… Sun, nature, beautiful people, already Balearic flavor… I dont want to waste words for describing this really nice event for I made some pictures that speak for their selves. Just take a look in my Gallery!
Everybody working with cubase, final cut, fotoshop etc. knows about this: You really need to expand your desktop physically for having a proper workflow. So in many studios you will see two monitors (in audio studios even more, of course ;) But even when you want to work with two or three text documents it is really worth having a second monitor. Now there is some kind of gear which allows you to expand your desktop up to three monitors! For me this is a dream solution for audio producers, video editors but also office work. Really useful tool!
