November 18th, 2009Durch Zufall verfolgte ich gestern via Zattoo einen sehr gelungenen Themenabend auf Arte: Zunächst ging es um den thematischen Dauerbrenner im November hier auf dem Blog, nämlich Neuro Enhancement. Die Sendung Doping für den Job lieferte eine durchaus sehenswerte Einführung in das derzeit viel diskutierte Thema. Zum Ende wurde auch die unvermeidliche Frage nach den Zielen und Werten unserer Gesellschaft gestellt. Als Antwort hierauf lieferte der Beitrag Adieu Karriere – Glückliche Absteiger interessante Alternativen zur beruflichen Tretmühle, nach der sich erstaunlicherweise nicht wenige Menschen meiner Generation geradezu sehnen. Die absolut sehenswerte Sendung behandelt ebenfalls ein Kernthema dieses Blogs, nämlich das intelligente Leben jenseits der Festanstellung, welches anhand verschiedener Fälle anschaulich illustriert wird. So kommt auch jener Berliner Lampenbauer aus Marke Eigenbau zu Wort. Be inspired!

He was born in 1968… Well, this serves that certain cliché: The paintings of Peter Gric are indeed pretty mind-bending and psychedelic. His technical skills are undoubtedly remarkable, I also like the motive of huge, enigmatic structures that he uses pretty often, the organic ideas and last but not least the female bodies in his pictures. Enough words, time to have a look!

This simply fantastic live set was recorded during Mutek Festival in Montreal and combines some of the best tunes from both projects. Unbeliveable deep, driving and still laid back sound. Absolutely lovin this one!
