The multitouch display boom continues: From a haptical point of view this piece of equipment might require getting used to it pretty much, completely missing any knobs and faders. But concerning the show aspect, the Töken Experience is defintiely a very spectacular eyecatcher!

Breath-taking constructions, installations and decorations, an outstanding diverse and kicking lineup, presented on sound systems that delivered a really physical music experience and between all of this a multicoloured mixture of some of the most beautiful and blissful people from all around this planet… My fourth Boom experience was an absolutely unique one and probably the best festival I have seen up to today. It was a huge honour to be part of this temporary autonomous zone for ten days, not only by playing an amazing DJ set together with Sam on the stage of the monumental Dance Temple but also by the simple fact of being present at the wonderful venue out there at Idanha-a-Nova. I just uploaded the current issue of mushroom magazine. This time its mainly in English language, since it represents a specially international edition, featuring a big artist & label special. Also I did an interview with Android Jones who is busy with decorating Boom festival’s main stage at this very moment. The printed mag includes an abridged version, the unabridged one will go online, soon.
Ein ganz übler Albtraum: Anders kann man das, was der 3000° Mannschaft passiert ist, nicht nennen. Nachdem deren fürs kommende Wochenende angesetztes Festival bereits im Vorverkauf ausverkauft war und sich die Social Media von Tag zu Tag mit vorfreudigen Kommentaren der Feiergemeinde füllte, traten nur wenige Tage vor der Veranstaltung erhebliche Probleme mit den lokalen Behörden auf, die letztendlich zum kurzfristigen Verbot führten. Es scheint plausibel, dass die Gründe für jene Schikanen, mit denen das Festival ausgebootet wurde, in Zusammenhang mit den tragischen Vorfällen auf der letzten Loveparade und der anschließenden Stimmungsmache gegen elektronische Tanz- veranstaltungen stehen. Doch wie dem auch sei: Mit dem 3000° Festival trifft es eines der vielversprechendesten Festivals der laufenden Freiluftsaison, organisiert von einer der sympathischsten und bodenständigsten Truppen, die ich kennen gelernt habe.
Für Ende August wurde in der folgenden Erklärung der Veranstalter ein Ersatztermin bekannt gegeben.

After listening to this set, I am looking forward to Boabinga rocking Groovy Beach at this year’s Boom Festival even more. Wobbling basslines, nested beats plus a distinct trashy edge- Up-to-date Electronic Dance Music as it should be!
