And again some matieral from this year’s more than amazing Boom festival: Here we go with two little videos, taken during our DJ set at the Dance Temple.

Just discovered this video from Indian Spirit Festival 2004. From 00:35, it includes some footage taken during my DJ set on Saturday afternoon. I remember this moment very well, was kind of final climax of my very personal summer of love 2004 – if any climax can be fixed in this absolutely dreamlike summer…

An unexpected mass of visitors and a fatal bar code system error led to some worse trouble right at the beginning of Boom. But no doubt: Those who finally managed to enter the festival ground witnessed pure magic going on on the shores of the reservoir in Idanha-a-Nova.

Actually it was not really horrible but still not very comfortable to wait for 10 hours in the traffic jam in front of the entry gates at Boom festival 2006. But I was pretty happy when a friend of mine called me a few weeks before the festival and asked for helping him with the setup and care of the light projections he should bring to the Ambient Forest. The reason: Working with the decoration team would bring me inside the festival before the gates officially opened on Monday. In this way I avoided the only but therefore really worse critic point at the most complete international Trance gathering: The entry problem. Read the rest of this entry »

Back again in rainy Germany from wonderful Portugal. I am really missing the ocean, the waves, the sun, the grilled Sardinhas and the cold Super Bock in the evening… But well, show must go on: Check out the gallery section for some impressions from my Surf Safari and amazing Boom Festival!

After actually not being within the Trance scene of Münster any more since some time now, last weekend was a great opportunity to meet lots of old friends and breathe something like the spirit of the old days… A small festival held in an awesome landscape surrounded by mountains, fields and wind turbines featured an excellent selection of freaks and absolutely great atmosphere. Unfortunately Schwarzlichtmilieu Open Air was another example that the really good parties are most often not economically. Bad weather forecasts combined with a pretty high entry fee made a lot of people staying at home. Nevertheless quite some freaks showed up but half of those were either artists or on the guest list. So it got an atmospherically excellent but financially rather bad party. Thanks to the organizers anyway! Check out a selection of shots I made there in my gallery section.

Back again from last weekend´s exercise. Pretty exhausting one this time, 3 days non stop party. Atelier 44 in Hamburg was pretty nice, its kind of alternative club with a very cool underground flavor. Unfortunately I had massive problems with Final Scratch over there: First it was not enough space on the stage to set up everything and then the system was not playable because some feedbacks from the turntable disturbed the timecode… In the end I played from the Final Scratch CDs but that problems were really fucked up. Really bad experience with Final Scratch this time!

I have to say that actually I am no very political person any more. So I did not attend a demonstration for a pretty long time. Last weekend this changed. I arrived on Sunday afternoon at the Gathering Of The Tribes event and found a situation of cleaning up and re- constructing the party for the second evening.

Too much party, dinner, pleasure… thats why I did not find the time to blog the latest reviews from my tour the last days. So I am writing this article about a beautiful golden October day one week ago on this rather foggy morning here in Berlin, my current residence.

For the day of the German reunification on October 3rd my highly regarded colleague Raimund from Hamburg and I were invited to play some records at quite a promising small, underground trance event in Kiel in the very north of Germany. To be really honest: It took getting used to a little when I arrived at Apollon´s Open Air last Saturday at 4 pm. But after getting used to this kind of different event after a short while it was a really huge pleasure over there in Hannover!
