Kombinat 100 is a combo I really admire! Not only that they produce an unique style of music- they also play some kind of really authentic live act using groove boxes and a lot of crazy old synths and instruments. From minute -7:40 you can watch the author of this blog in action at Psychedelic Circus Festival 2005. It was kind of remarkable gig for me for I played the opening and there was a very special atmosphere: I started with some very cheesy tunes in the dusk and people gathered on the floor. Then a really bad thunderstorm came up- But many people remained on the floor and got really banana, screaming and shouting in the rain. I pushed them further and further, playing some very bombastic hits. There was really plenty of energy in the air- from the lightnings as well as from the people. When the thunderstorm had gone after half an hour the floor got crowded within minutes. It was a really funny deejay experience!

Since a few days there is another netlabel online: Digital Diamonds! The philosophy is to deliver high quality electronic music to everyone for free. The two dudes behind this -Adam and Volker aka Alic- focus on pretty hard, driving tekkno, you could call it some kind of psychedelic tekkno… Pretty cool stuff, a very promising label startup anyway! But what am I telling: Check it out yourself!

Last sunday morning something really strange happened: I was totally fed up with 4/4 beats! But well, I have to go a little more far back to explain this situation. It all started off on friday evening when we arrived at the “seminar”, a really underground- styled party located in two houses in the woods near Münster. Hello my funky fellows! There is always going on something spectacular in this city… But this time its not only in this city but whole Germany: There is a pretty huge thunder at the moment. When I was driving around withg my bike this afternoon it felt a little like my first lessons in windsurfing 8) Just one minute ago a dramatic news hit my messenger: The car from famous DJ Sonic Assault (aka The Guy From 101) was destroyed by a tile! And since 17 o´clock our house-own gates are closed, as I could read on a paper in the entry hall…
In the end of february there will be a really nice event here in Münster: Yannick De Jong, a pretty cool dude from the local scene is organizing his “Orange Connection” for the second time. The really refreshing thing about this event is that Yannick books nice artists from outside Münster and gives some fresh sounds to the audience. Another thing is that there are only progressive artists are booked, so watch out for some really delicious beats! By the way: Nice colours on this flyer… ;)
I realy love this guys from the very beginning… I remember that day -I was wearing my flouro flair pants, my beard and my hairs were even longer and I was pretty young- when I heard the first track by Son Kite. Amazing nordish progressive stuff, very driving and psychedelic but still kind of tidied up. Their first Album was called Minilogue and that was the name of their even more progressive side project… Some years ago Marcus and Sebastian published pretty trancy stuff under this synonym and nowadays they have become very big in the mimimal scene while they still have a very deep touch. And this dudes are not only excellent producers- their taste in graphics and visiuals is also very nice. Enjoy this video which is an preview from their upcoming DVD!
On saturday I escaped from the Digital Divide when my new internet provider proclaimed that I am connected again. After some troubles everything even worked. And this morning… the connection fucked up again! Uaargh! I really try hard to become a good blogger but under this circumstances it is really hard. By the way: Did I mention that my amplifier fucked up during our new years eve excess? So I can not consume my most essential drug neither: Music! So at least I have some books left. Joy.

The next month I will play in Magdeburg at a party by the Elfentanz Crew. I really like this people, they are very friendly and warm, so I think it will be a nice time. There will also be another Faderskater Gig- This is my deejay projekt together with Weasel from Mecklenburg. I try to continue playing Progressive Trance with this project while I myself play only ProgHouse, TechHouse and Electro nowadays.
