Evan Roth, the Bad Ass Mother Fucker as he calls himself, is a very cool modern artist from New York city with a special enthusiasm for open source and projection technologies. While there are loads of modern arts which are very abstract and rather hard accessible, the projects of this dude are not only really smart but also have a very distinct message. I came across this artist when I was browsing cityclouds.de, a blog written by friends from Berlin that underwent a very promising development since it was published. I discovered a totally cool sticker action there, these images speak for their selves:
Available Online For Free is also the name of a really good book just published by Evan Roth. It includes very varied works by him, shown on 64 pages. The whole book was created using only open source software. And of course the title is nothing but true: You can download the full book here! Alternatively you can get a printed version for a small price.

We just finished another episode of Chaishop Music News – The History Edition. In this show my mate Sam@chaishop.com and me present 10 years of Psy Trance history, every episode one year. This time its 2002 and it became kind of special: On the one hand it includes an interview snippet with Trance daddy Raja Ram, well known also from his act Shpongle. This dude kicks asses, the way he speaks and finally what he tells is absolutely hilarious! He would definitely be an excellent stand-up comedian, too. Furthermore there is a DJ set from me playing at some sunny dancefloor in 2002 included in the show. Check it out, you will clearly hear my enthusiasm for clubby sounds already then.

Im Fachjargon als Prokrastination bezeichnet, beschäftigt sich das Buch mit genau diesem Phänomen. Mit ziemlich hohen Erwartungen bin ich an seine Lektüre herangetreten, da ich einerseits selbst davon betroffen bin und sich andererseits einer der Verfasser, Sascha Lobo, auch als Schreiber des Buches Wir nennen es Arbeit auszeichnet, welches mich wiederum mit starker Begeisterung erfüllte. Johannes Kreidler is back again with another pretty cool project: Using Microsoft’s music composition software Songsmith he created some tracks from recent stock charts. While the melodies themselves are rather funny and happy, the charts behind them represent the collapse of the global economy.
