Cut Chemist & Hymnal – Field Surrounding 013
November 25th, 2013
The Dutch Techno imprint Field Records presents an odd one out in its podcast series. For two reasons: First, it’s no um-tsa um-tsa sound, but an eclectic selection of Folk, Psychedelic Rock and accoustic obscurities from some decades ago. Second, it was recorded by a man who is usually well-known for yet another style of music, namely Hip Hop and turntablism veteran Lucas McFadden aka Cut Chemist.

Kliment – Empty Space (Zenon Records)
September 15th, 2013
Zenon Records is undoubtedly among the labels that keep the Psytrance scene fresh and surprising these days. Just recently the Kliment album Emtpy Spaces has been released. Pulling all the stops of contemporary studio technology, technoish grooves set the rhythmic foundation for this mighty work. The fatness of the production is mind-bending itself, and so are the ghostly sound effects and subliminal psychoacoustics. All thumbs up for Bulgarian producer Kliment, more than solid dance floor stuff!

Finally another DJ mix from Adam Freeland, a man who needs no introduction to frequent readers of my little blog.
